Day, upon endless day I spent life living. No day in Europe was the same as the next. Every moment was a complete thought that had no relation to previous moments and had no clought in the moments to come. My body was utilized. My brain was engaged. I met people. People from the U.S. and people from around the world. Some of them lived in the various places i visited, while others were students of travel as i was. There is so much you can learn from the dusty road...but that's a thought for another time.
I had very little interactions that were not face-to-face. I had no phone which meant not only no calls but also no texting. I had such unpredictable access to internet. My internet time was spent emailing each individual in my family...it was TORTURE to not be able to hug them, hear their voices and laughter. So this is the context. This is how i was living. The moment that the thought came to me was in Verona, Italy.
It was the second day in Verona. Ash and I had woken up at eight so we could shower before we were kicked out of our hostel room. We grabbed our few belongings and stored our packs and took to the cobblestone path. We followed the sorry excuse for an italian sidewalk to the center of town. We filled our water bottles up with sweet, cold, italian water. We then sat in the square of Donte and had a Bible study. The thing was we didn't set a time frame or an amount that we had to read....we merely read. We read until we couldn't focus any more...which was
